 My name is Gil Gibli. As Portrait Artist, I specialize in drawing leading figures in the news.
However, over the years, while drawing portraits for the Israeli business daily Globes,
I gained enormous experience that helped me to broaden the scope of my work to include also Forensic Art – an amazing, intriguing and creative form of art in itself.
I draw using a cross-hatch technique that's been in use since newspapers were first published, but I’m using the technique with a 21st century twist: all I need is a photo of the subject and the image becomes an icon that enhances the newspaper layout as well as the virtual media platform.
