| For over a decade, I've been perfecting the cross-hatching technique: that make News Portraits unique. Starting with a good quality photo of the subject, a pencil and light table, I trace the photo. Using the pencil, I then begin to emphasize the subject's identifying characteristics. Shading is accomplished by cross-hatching and the final sketch is rendered using a fine ink pen. | |||||
